Welcome to Dogs for the Disabled!

Dogs for the Disabled creates life-changing partnerships by training assistance dogs to help disabled people lead a fuller, more independent life.

Every assistance dog trained by the charity offers practical help to the people we support. Our work with physically disabled adults opens doors to independence, giving a new sense of confidence and freedom, often long forgotten. In 2004, the Children's Project was introduced, training dogs for physically disabled children and offering a friend and helper roled into one.

This year, the charity has launched a new project to train assistance dogs for children with autism and their families . Providing a new focus and support for the whole family.

To find out more about all of our work and to meet the dogs, browse our website and read some of the stories about our inspirational partnerships. You could even Sponsor a Puppy and help us continue to make a difference.
