Over £1,000 raised by The Hilton Hotel at Heathrow’s T5

The Hilton Hotel at terminal five at Heathrow Airport has raised over £1,000 to help sponsor a Dogs for the Disabled puppy.

The funds have been raised from a staff raffle which raised £500, and from a ‘Pedal for a Puppy’ event, where staff completed a virtual cycle ride of 154 miles to all of the twenty-seven Hilton Hotels in London, raising a further £520 for the charity.

The ‘Pedal for a Puppy’ event took place in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel on Thursday 17 May and it was attended by Mr Rishi Sachdev, Owner of Shiva Hotels, and Dogs for the Disabled staff and assistance dog Nico.

Over twenty staff took part. Stephanie Caulfield from the Hilton Hotel comments: “I cannot thank everyone who took part enough for their cycling efforts, it was truly inspirational.” The Hilton Hotel has pledged to raise £5,000 to sponsor a Dogs for the Disabled puppy to help transform the life of someone living with physical disability or a family with a child with autism.

Dogs for the Disabled currently supports over 260 partnerships and teams across the UK; each one costing over £19,000 throughout its lifetime. The charity relies entirely on voluntary donations to carry out its work and there are hundreds more lives the charity could transform with your help.
